ICHI’S FACE BEEN CUT UP

This movie “Ichi The Killer” was cool as hell. The man with blades in his shoes could take out a whole group of Yakuza in one bloody whirlwind. I believe it too, but you need extreme discipline and focus from martial arts conditioning. It’s hard to explain how over the top this movie was. Takashi Miike is a great director to make this too. The art of extreme movie making is one that can really turn out good but you have to know how to be over the top without being too over the top. This movie does just that and does it well. This could be called extreme neo noir but that would be my term. Most of the time noir means weird, but in an older detective style. The EFX were stellar. This movie is an icon to inspire future directors. Really gory, but it is well done.
